Arroyo Tapiado Mud Caves are a spectacular geological formation in the Anza Borrego Dessert State Park (2 hrs east). Some caves are very small and involve hands and knees crawling, other caves are 1,000 ft long with rooms up to 80ft high and 20 ft wide, even having multiple levels. The day will be spent exploring several of the different caves in the area. One of Great Escapes oldest and most popular trips.

What to Bring

1. Clothes that you are willing to get DIRTY (Pants are nice for crawling inside the caves)!
2. Clothes to change into
3. Bandana
4. Hat & Sunglasses
5. Sturdy tennis shoes or hiking boots 
6. Sunscreen & Lipbalm
7. Camera & Film
8. Headlamp* or Flashlight with new batteries
9. 2 Full Water bottles ( 1 liter Min.)
